UNIKO is the Park Model RV pathway for eligible stay models across the represented UNIKOST catalogue. Each source design becomes a new chassis-based derivative developed for the U.S. standard — not the original house simply placed on a trailer.

The chassis changes the brief
Transport envelope, gross trailer area, weight, balance, utilities, egress and service access become design inputs from day one.
Certification is model-specific
Every released derivative requires its own documented engineering, production scope and manufacturer compliance pathway.
The standard to remember
ANSI/RVIA A119.5 — Park Model Recreational Vehicle Standard.
The current 2025 edition covers fuel systems and equipment, health, fire and life safety, plumbing and construction requirements. A Park Model RV is designed for temporary recreational, camping or seasonal use; it is not presented as a permanent residence.
RVIA adopted standardsRVIA inspection program
Unannounced factory inspections approximately every 6–8 weeks.
RV Industry Association inspectors audit participating manufacturing facilities for compliance with adopted standards. The cadence applies to the factory compliance program — it does not mean every completed unit is individually re-inspected every eight weeks.
The manufacturer certifies the Park Model RV and applies the appropriate seal within the program. Local zoning, campground eligibility, placement, utility and operating approvals remain separate site-specific questions.

Rework the plan, envelope, structure, MEP and weight distribution around one wheeled chassis and the Park Model RV dimensional framework.
Compliant production
Release the derivative through a qualified manufacturing and inspection pathway after model-specific engineering and documentation are complete.

UNIKO describes a product-development and compliance pathway. A source cabin does not become a certified Park Model RV merely by adding a chassis, and the RVIA seal does not replace local land-use, installation, fire, health or operating approvals.
