Cabin bathroom fit-out with sink plumbing and a handheld fixture visible
Fit-out detail from owner-supplied wooden-unit photography. It does not establish supplier identity, certification, inspection acceptance or the scope of another order.

Direct answer

Confirm the company taking the order, then connect every product claim to the exact model and revision. Call references with a comparable scope, read the warranty before the deposit, identify the plant and carrier, and make payments depend on inspectable records.

The purchase file should state how the unit is inspected and accepted, when title and risk move, how the punch list closes and what happens when work is late, damaged or different from the approved documents.

The mismatch

One proposal can contain three different companies.

The brand may appear on the proposal, another company on the deposit instructions and a third as holder of a technical report. That can reflect a dealer, affiliate, importer or separate manufacturer. It still needs a written, supported explanation.

The cabin quote guide aligns scope across proposals. Manufacturer due diligence asks whether the party, product and evidence inside one proposal belong together.

Resolve the entity

Search the company that will sign and receive payment.

Record the legal name, entity type, formation state, filing number, status, address, trade names, signer and payment beneficiary. Search the responsible state registry and save a dated result. NASS identifies state business-entity and UCC filing roles; SBA distinguishes entity names from DBAs, trademarks and domains.

Active status does not prove solvency, capacity, factory ownership, insurance or product compliance. If the contract, invoice and bank beneficiary differ, identify which party owes the product, warranty, refund and correction obligations.

Match the evidence

A report number matters only when it reaches the purchased model.

Put every material claim in its own row with the model, option set, drawing revision, issuer, holder, current status, evaluated property, installation conditions and exclusions. The ICC-ES directory shows these distinctions in its report fields. Read the current full report; do not accept a cropped cover or an undated screenshot as the match.

Park Model RV evidence follows a different path. The RV Industry Association describes a manufacturer certification and plant inspection program tied to its seal. That record does not turn a different structure into a Park Model RV or approve site use. See the Park Model RV purchase-file guide.

Inspect the transaction

References, warranty, production and freight need separate checks.

Speak with buyers whose model, quantity, climate, factory scope and delivery chain resemble the proposed job. Ask what the manufacturer actually supplied, what changed after contract, how damage and incomplete work were recorded, and who handled the warranty. One reference describes one transaction; it does not prove present capacity or the result on another project.

Obtain the complete warranty before paying. Identify its legal issuer, covered components, start date, exclusions, labor, travel, freight, notice method and remedy. The FTC guide explains consumer-product warranty rules but also notes commercial and state-law limits. Counsel should determine what applies to the actual acquisition.

Name the production plant and set inspection hold points before work is concealed. For transport, match the assigned U.S. motor carrier to its FMCSA SAFER record, then separately confirm the route, permits, equipment, coverage and handoffs. The delivery guide follows that chain through arrival and set.

Define acceptance

Make each payment correspond to visible evidence.

Link design release to an approved revision, production progress to an identified unit and inspection record, factory release to tests and packing condition, and final payment to the agreed acceptance file. Calendar time alone does not show that the work exists or conforms.

Keep factory release, delivery condition and final acceptance as separate moments. The punch list needs an item, evidence, owner, due date, remedy and closure sign-off. Legal and financial advisers should shape deposit, title, security, lien, insolvency and remedy protections for the parties and state involved.

The official Glamping Show Americas recap and structure lineup are the discovery sources for this checklist. They reported a large 2026 floor with full-scale structures and many named manufacturers. They do not rank, endorse or verify a supplier for a particular purchase.

Planning boundary

Bring one page to the supplier review.

Summarize the entity, exact model, evidence path, references, warranty, plant, inspection, carrier, payment milestones, acceptance and unresolved items. Red means an answer or protection is still missing; it is not an automatic rejection.

The UNIKOST project calculator can expose the workstreams the supplier file must address. It does not verify a company, contract, certification, warranty, carrier, approval or financial outcome.

FAQ

Common supplier-review questions.

How do I verify a glamping cabin manufacturer?

Confirm the legal entity and payment beneficiary, match technical claims to the exact model, call comparable references, identify the factory, read the warranty and verify the assigned carrier separately.

Is an active state business registration enough?

No. It confirms a filing status, not financial strength, factory ownership, insurance, product compliance, capacity or workmanship.

Does an ICC-ES report approve the whole cabin?

Not automatically. Read the report holder, evaluation subject, scope, properties evaluated, installation requirements, identification and conditions of use.

Does an RV Industry Association seal make a Park Model RV acceptable on any glamping site?

No. The seal relates to the manufacturer certification and standards program for the unit. Responsible authorities still determine site placement and use requirements.

What should happen before the final manufacturer payment?

The contract should define inspection, test, document and acceptance evidence, including final drawings, unit identity, delivery condition, warranty, punch list and correction responsibilities.
