Direct answer

For a Cavco park model or cabin, ask the salesperson to identify the manufacturing brand and facility, legal contracting seller, complete series and floor-plan code, specification year and revision, current option sheet and Park Model RV label path. Attach those records to the proposal. A screenshot of a floor plan does not freeze the construction or confirm which regional factory can supply it.

The quote also needs the actual transport dimensions, freight route, unloading and set scope, site responsibilities, warranty provider and acceptance method. Cavco's public disclaimer says approximately four feet should be added to determine transportable length. That difference belongs in the access review before the model reaches a final shortlist.

Relationship boundary

This is an independent supplier profile.

UNIKOST has no documented partnership, dealer relationship or project role with Cavco Industries or its retailers. The official 2026 Glamping Show Americas exhibitor map was the discovery record. It does not establish availability, approval, performance or a commercial relationship.

Identify the buying chain

The national catalogue is a regional buying system.

ParkModels.com says Cavco Industries has three Park Model RV and cabin brands distributing regionally from manufacturing facilities in the Southwest, Southeast and Midwest. Each brand has its own floor plans, standard features and retail network.

“Cavco” may identify the parent company and product family, but it may not identify the factory building the unit or the business selling it. A complete contact record should name the manufacturing entity, plant address, retail seller, payment beneficiary and party responsible for warranty service.

Cavco Industries' fiscal 2026 Form 10-K supplies the corporate context. The SEC filing describes distribution through independent and company-owned retailers, community operators and residential developers. It does not prove that a particular retailer is authorized for a model today. Ask the manufacturer to confirm the retailer and model in writing, then keep the records in the manufacturer due-diligence file.

Freeze the revision

A series name still leaves many floor plans.

Sedona, Alpine Lofts and Creekside each contain multiple floor-plan codes. The useful reference is the complete model identifier. Put it on the quote, plans, option sheet, production order and acceptance form.

Several pages publish a specification year or revision. Alpine Lofts showed specification year 2024 and revision 1.0 during this review. The surrounding site says products may be updated. A current quote should attach the applicable revision or state every approved difference from it.

Request a configuration summary with base features, selected options and substitutions. Appliances, windows, siding, roof materials, HVAC preparation, porches and loft details can change the room program and the work left for the property team. A substitution should require written approval rather than a verbal “equivalent.”

Product evidence

Park Model RV evidence follows the exact unit.

Cavco series pages describe RVIA or ANSI A119.5 approval. RVIA lists ANSI A119.5 as its adopted Park Model RV standard and describes Park Model RVs as vehicles intended for temporary, recreational and seasonal use.

The procurement file still needs evidence for the quoted unit: the manufacturer on the data plate, current seal or label, serial number when assigned, production documents and any state records required for delivery and placement. The Park Model RV planning guide covers the separate site questions. Product evidence does not decide zoning, utilities, fire access or lodging operations.

Check the operating fit

Published sleeping counts need an operating check.

Creekside descriptions include sleeping counts and phrases such as “wheelchair friendly.” They help a buyer scan the catalogue, but the operating file needs more detail.

Confirm actual beds, mattress sizes, loft access, egress, storage and housekeeping. Test water heating, electrical load, parking, wastewater and cleaning time at the intended occupancy. A published “sleeps 8” line is a layout description, not proof that the property can host eight guests in that unit.

For accessibility, request dimensioned plans, clear door widths, turning spaces, thresholds, bathroom details, the approach route and the standard used. A marketing label does not establish compliance for the site or lodging operation.

Define delivery and scope

Transport dimensions belong beside the floor plan.

ParkModels.com says listed dimensions are nominal and advises adding approximately four feet to determine transportable length. Request the exact width, overall height, length with hitch or transport gear, axle loads and weight for the selected configuration.

The carrier should review permits, escorts, bridge and road limits, turning radius, overhead clearance, staging and final approach. The proposal should identify the delivery endpoint and who provides the carrier, crane or tractor, foundation or blocking, anchoring, leveling, utilities, skirting, decks, weather protection and damage inspection. Use the delivery planning guide before assuming a freight number includes placement.

Order file

Freeze the commercial scope before the deposit.

A quote-ready package should contain:

  • Manufacturing brand, facility and legal seller.
  • Series, complete model code, specification year and revision.
  • Signed floor plan, elevations and option sheet.
  • Included appliances, fixtures, finishes and substitutions.
  • Park Model RV label and document path.
  • Freight dimensions, delivery point and set responsibility.
  • Site-work and utility responsibility matrix.
  • Payment milestones, change rules, warranty and acceptance forms.

Ask whether the retailer, factory or another party receives warranty claims, who pays travel and how appliance warranties are handled. The cabin quote-scope guide normalizes these fields across competing offers.

First request

Send one clean brief and preserve the reply.

Provide the parcel location, intended guest use, target key count, season, utility plan, access constraints and known climate values. State whether the property wants a Park Model RV or is still comparing product classes. Ask the seller to identify the Cavco factory, series and model available for that location.

Prepare the property file

Organize site facts before requesting prices.

The UNIKOST calculator organizes early site, utility, access and operating inputs. It does not verify Cavco or a retailer, determine compliance, calculate a binding cost or predict occupancy, revenue or return.

FAQ

Cavco park model procurement questions

Does Cavco sell the same park models nationwide?

ParkModels.com says Cavco brands distribute regionally from different manufacturing facilities, with their own floor plans, features and retail networks. Confirm the model and factory available for the project location.

Is a ParkModels.com floor plan the final construction specification?

No. Cavco says its literature is illustrative, dimensions are nominal and products may change. Attach the exact model code, current revision, options and approved substitutions to the sales agreement.

What does RVIA or ANSI A119.5 approval establish?

It identifies a Park Model RV standards and inspection context. It does not approve the parcel, guest use, utilities, fire access, decks or lodging operation.

Why add approximately four feet to the listed length?

Cavco tells buyers to add about four feet when estimating transportable length. Use exact shipping dimensions from the factory and carrier for route review.

Does “wheelchair friendly” establish accessibility?

No. Request dimensioned unit details and review the complete approach, entrance, interior route, bathroom and operating requirements with the applicable professionals and authority.
