Direct answer
Choose the guest program before requesting a Conestoga Wagon price. Decide whether the room serves a couple, a family or another defined party; whether it needs a private bathroom; and what season, weather and utility conditions it must serve.
Require the quote to name the exact model and revision, bed layout, bathroom configuration, construction and insulation, HVAC, electrical service, included equipment, shipping envelope, delivery endpoint, site duties, warranty and acceptance method. “Sleeps up to 6” is not an occupancy approval, and “heavy snow loads” is not a project design value.
Relationship boundary
This is an independent supplier profile.
UNIKOST has no documented partnership, dealer relationship or project role with Conestoga Wagon Company. The official Glamping Show Americas pages were discovery records. They do not establish availability, approval, performance or a commercial relationship.
Define the room
Start with guest use, not the wagon silhouette.
Conestoga publishes several wagon products. Its Standard Wagon is the simpler canvas model. The Lux adds an enclosed, vented bathroom pod. The Hard-Top Lux adds a cabin-grade roof, dormer windows and another insulation option while retaining a canvas exterior. Those differences change the floor plan, utility connections and delivery file.
The Standard page lists multiple sleeping configurations for up to six guests, a hotel king bed frame and one bunk-bed frame. Mattresses are not included. It also lists a table without chairs. A family layout therefore needs mattress specifications, bunk access and guards, luggage space, bedside access, seating, linens and a cleaning plan in addition to the published bed count.
Record the intended operating capacity separately from the manufacturer's maximum sleeping layout. Test water heating, wastewater, electrical load, parking, linens, housekeeping and emergency procedures at that capacity. The glamping unit comparison can help decide whether a wagon is the right room category before the team builds a named supplier file.
Bathroom boundary
The bathroom changes both product and site work.
The Standard page does not list an integrated bathroom. The Lux page describes another 54 square feet in a fully enclosed, vented pod with a sink, shower and toilet. The Hard-Top Lux page presents a similar isolated bathroom. This is a material model distinction, not a finish option.
Ask for a dimensioned plumbing plan and fixture schedule. Identify water and waste connection points, freeze protection, ventilation, water-heater type and capacity, maintenance access and post-delivery work. If a bathroom section travels separately, the order should show who joins, seals, tests and accepts it.
Test climate and utilities
Model names are not climate criteria.
The Standard page identifies a Mitsubishi mini-split and describes AC and heat as standard. It also presents the canvas as suitable through rain, snow, wind and sun. The Hard-Top Lux page says its cabin-grade roof is intended for heavy snow loads and allows triple-layer insulation.
These are supplier statements. Send the project location and ask for design criteria, roof and ground snow values, wind criteria, anchoring assumptions, insulation assembly, condensation control, fabric specification, operating temperature range and HVAC design conditions. Confirm whether triple-layer insulation is included or optional in the quoted model.
Use the snow, wind and climate quote guide to place site values beside the supplier documents. A broad “four-season” description cannot replace those records.
Electrical scope
Match the service description to the chosen room.
The Standard and Lux pages list seven outlets, two overhead lights, a porch light and 50-amp wiring, with an alternate 12-volt option for off-grid use. The order needs the drawing for the quoted model: voltage, service connection, panel and breakers, equipment loads, grounding, bathroom circuits and installed appliances.
For an off-grid design, a 12-volt option is only one input. The designer still needs daily and peak loads, HVAC strategy, battery and inverter limits, fallback power and equipment start loads. The quote should separate factory-complete work from connections and tests performed on site.
Map delivery and site work
Published dimensions must become a shipping envelope.
The Hard-Top Lux page publishes 31 feet in length, 10 feet 4 inches in width and 13 feet in height, with another 3 feet when stairs are included. It also lists an 8-foot interior height. These dimensions help screen the model, but the carrier needs the exact shipping configuration and weight.
Record which stairs, wheels, bathroom sections, canopies or trim travel installed, separately or only as visual features. Review road and bridge restrictions, overhead clearance, turning radius, grade, staging, unloading position and final approach.
Define who supplies permits, escorts, carrier, crane or unloading equipment, supports, anchoring, leveling, utilities, stairs, decks, weather seals and damage inspection. The delivery planning guide keeps those duties visible.
Freeze the order file
Build one comparison-ready package.
- Legal seller, manufacturing location and payment recipient.
- Model name, drawing number, date and revision.
- Dimensioned plans, elevations and section.
- Bed, bathroom, appliance, furniture and finish schedule.
- Structural, wind, snow, anchoring and foundation criteria.
- Insulation, canvas, condensation and HVAC documents.
- Electrical and plumbing connection drawings.
- Shipping dimensions, weight, delivery endpoint and set method.
- Site-work, testing, warranty and service responsibility matrix.
- Factory inspection, delivery inspection and acceptance forms.
Ask whether the warranty applies to commercial guest use and who receives a claim. Identify coverage for the structure, canvas, roof, bathroom pod, HVAC, electrical equipment, plumbing fixtures and third-party appliances. Request the warranty before the deposit.
The manufacturer due-diligence checklist and quote-scope guide provide a neutral file for competing offers.
First request
Send one project-specific brief.
Provide the parcel location, intended use, guest party, operating season, water and wastewater approach, electrical plan, known climate criteria, route constraints and target delivery window. Ask Conestoga to respond with the current model and configuration that fits those inputs. Keep Standard, Lux and Hard-Top Lux on separate comparison lines rather than blending their features.
Prepare the property file
Organize site facts before requesting prices.
The UNIKOST calculator organizes early site, utility, access and operating inputs. It does not verify Conestoga, determine compliance, calculate a binding cost or predict occupancy, revenue or return.

Conestoga wagon procurement questions
What is the difference between Standard, Lux and Hard-Top Lux wagons?
The current company pages present the Standard as the base canvas wagon, the Lux with an enclosed and vented bathroom pod, and the Hard-Top Lux with a cabin-grade roof and dormer windows plus the bathroom. Confirm the current configuration and revision in the quote.
Do Conestoga wagons sleep six people?
The public Standard, Lux and Hard-Top Lux pages say multiple configurations can sleep up to six. The order should identify the actual beds and mattresses, and the property must separately confirm permitted and operational guest capacity.
Does the Hard-Top Lux page prove a specific snow load?
No. The page says the model is built for heavy snow loads but does not publish a project design value in the reviewed copy. Request the structural criteria for the selected site.
Is the bathroom included in every Conestoga wagon?
The Standard page does not list an integrated bathroom. Lux and Hard-Top Lux pages describe an enclosed bathroom. The signed order should state the fixtures, connection, installation and testing scope.
Does 50-amp wiring cover the property electrical work?
No. It is a product-side service description. The property still needs the feeder, distribution, connection, load, protection and commissioning plan for the selected equipment and local requirements.
